Default Ice auger battery overheats quickly

Hi everyone. My ice auger battery recently started to overheat quickly. The model is ION X 29250. Did anyone face such a problem and know how to solve it or maybe you can recommend something better? Thanks in advance

Ohh, such a familiar problem. My auger was bringing me the same problems over two months. But then on my bday, i with my son drove to our lake for a little fishing. I pulled out my old auger, then son looked at me with a smile and presented me a new auger. It was such wonderful fishing after a couple of years of nervous fishing with that old device. So i strongly recommend for all my friends and now for you this auger Here is the page, where the son found it: https://hikezone.org/best-electric-i...Cordless_Auger

High resistance can cause that issue, meaning something internally that is trying to fail, or a weak battery, or even bad blades. I would check the blade sharpness, then try another battery if possible. If none of those things work, then it may be time to repair or replace your auger.

When you say "recently", how recent was this ? yesterday? last week? When you say "overheat quickly" is this while drilling the first hole? after two holes? more?

Not quite the question I would have expected in July as well as your location showing as Arizona. I have the Ion X also but I have not experienced this problem in a Minnesota winter.

Sorry, no help...........
