So, pick up a dozen potential props on a try before buying arrangement and try all of the different props in different wind, water, weather, number of folks in the boat, and different amounts of cargo hauled.

After a month of testing you can likely thin the dozen props down to three props that you want to keep on your boat.

Then, from your testing you will know which prop to use on your rig for the particular job you have for the boat on a given day.

So, if you have a good prop dealer that you can work with, it is just a matter of try and test until you arrive at the answer for you, for your boat, for your weather and wind conditions, and for the water temperature and barometric pressure as well as the altitude of the body of water on which the boat is being tested.

There is no one right prop for any boat and motor combination with any type of load and potential speed issue of a rig. Do, the tests, buy the props that are right for you and you will always be ahead of the game to get the best out of your rig for any particular situation.
