I am 100% agreement with you there it just sucks they max rated this boat at 175 instead of 200, can buy the big blocks all day long for a great price.

I imagine you can get 150 motors pretty easily too. 175 is a low numbers kind of size.

EFI to Optimax Difference's;

The Optimax will be quieter, have little to no smoke or odor, will get better fuel economy across the board, use less oil (but more expensive oil), and have better run quality characteristics. aka, it'll start better, run smoother, etc. It's just a much more refined package. I think the only bennifits I can think of the standard efi was the power head is more compact (smaller) and they are cheaper to buy. I've owned two big block optimax engines that were both flawless and have been in and around boats with the old efi's and I can't imagine going from an Opti back to an regular EFI. I think you'd be disappoint in everything except the power and but that only because your going from a 135 to a 175 hp. equal hp, there's literally no advantage.
