On one laminated page I have all of my cranks listed and show 4 depths per lure in a table:

80 feet, 100 feet, 120 feet, 1 oz snap wt at 20 feet from lure

Each cell is color coded to depths, yellow (under 15), green (15-20), and blue (20+). This I keep in the top of my tackle box.

my baits are all sorted into seperate plano boxes. I copy the page in the book that applies to the lure in the box and tape it to the inside of the lid with wide packing tape

I wish they would mark the lip or somewhere on the lure the model number of the bait, too many cranks!

Default Crankbaits

I have to take issue with Dave in Walker's reasoning. How can a person have too many crank baits?

However, I do agree that one can have too many to be able to identify all of them. When I get a new one I try to mark what it is and the size with a Sharpie marker but that doesn't always last.

I wish all the manufacturers would label them like the Flicker Shads.

Well if you buy the PT book
THere's a full size pic of the lures with the dive chart

All you need to do is match the lure with the picture

I myself make a cheat sheet of the lures I'll most likely be trolling
And then stick them in a zip lock with the PT trolling book
1) it's quick and easy to see how much line out I need for the depth I what to target
2) It keeps the PT book from getting wet
3) with the cheat sheet in there with the book it doesn't get blown out of the boat

I agree, i have found some to not always match the dive curve, they are close and give you a starting point, some are right on. still well worth the money.
