Default Which Talon ?

Which talon would work best for holding boat in shallow but big lakes. I live on Oahe and my main ramp isn't in a bay and when windy it sucks. I would mainly be using it to help hold boat at launch and holding straight when beaching it. I like to pull in to shore and play on the beach. I may even go hunting in the hills for a few hours and think a talon would help with beaching it.

I do the things you describe with my 12 foot Talon and it works great, but an 8 or 10 footer should work just as well for you if you aren't concerned about depth.

A Power pole or Raptor is a better application for that. I have had both Talon and P Pole and the PP holds significantly better in wave action. It's not even close.
