Also on the 2014 Sierra Denali's the 6.2 isn't standard so you can't assume it has this motor just because it is a Denali trim (just a heads up if you were to look around).
I heard they now have AFM. Yuck.

The six speed is fine and has tow/haul mode that changes the shift points when on. Hwy I get 18-19 city 14, towing 15 on my 2013. Plenty of torque and power. Looking forward to the 2015 with 460lbs of torque. 3:42 was only gear option available when I ordered the 2015 a few weeks ago.

Let me know how it is after you get it. It will be nice to hear from a real owner rather than a magazine or the news papers. Very interested on the new engine with the cylinder deactivation, wonder if there will be an oil issue.

thanks

As the former owner of a Suburban for 22 years (that was likely the most reliable vehicle I'll ever own) and a past member of a car pool that included a Suburban, I can advise you that Suburban fuel mileage is very speed dependent. Any speed over 60MPH will cost you. Give the air a chance to get by that square front end and wrap around the rear corners and mileage will improve.

Spot on but this applies for all of the larger vehicles that the WC crew seem to love.

The 2015 Escalade has active air shutters that close at highway speeds to squeak out another 1 MPG. So they have that going for them... It might take a while to get your return on that investment though.

Default 2014 GM 6.2 with Corvette engine

Reels, what size boat and weight do you currently tow that you get 15 mpg with your current vehicle.
Also when you get new vehicle with 6.2 vette engine, please post your towing mileage.
Thank You!

Ranger 620 with a 250 Yamaha and kicker. The 2013 has the 6.2 with 403 HP with 417lbs torque. 91 Octane no ethanol when I can find it. It is getting harder to find.
