Default Batteries getting weak?

Hi All,
I have a set of Deka 225RC TM batteries (24V) pushing my MaxxumPro80US. On it 3rd year now and finding it not as powerful as before. I have to admit I have put a lot of hours on it over the 3 years period and always fully charge them and room Temp only during Winter months. Is it possible that they will get weaker as days goes by? Like before, I still can't drain it lower than 50% juice even after fishing hard for the day. Charge is still holding there, but I find I have to crank it higher now, {50 instead of 40 etc}. Or is it I am adding more weight on the boat without knowing.
