Default 1850 Crest Sportfish vs 1850 Reata

Hey guys have been searching for a while for a used boat but have not pulled the trigger yet, and saw this boat come up for sale. 1850 Crestliner Sportfish 2007 w/ a 150 Opti 250hr, Minn Kota PD, HDS7, sun top, and cover.

I have been looking at Range Reatas a lot and really like the layout and the performance you can get with a 150 on them, but most I have seen have been around 30k similarly equipped to the Sportfish. BTW they are asking 17K for the sportfish. Any thoughts on this? Is the Reata worth almost double the price of the sportfish? I realize the Reata is fiberglass and probably will give me a little better ride.

Thanks

What year and size Ranger Reatas are you looking at?
For $30,000 you could buy a new boat, but smaller.
The C-liner would be faster, I bet.
If the Sportfish and motor are in good shape
I would take the C-liner.
I had a 2002 Sportfish/ F115.
The boat did everything I asked of it, and more.
Ranger Reatas are also nice boats.

I owned a 2003 1850 Sportfish and now own a 2011 Reata. Both are nice boats but the Reata has much nicer ride in rougher water. If money is no issue I'd say the Reata hands down. Otherwise go with what you can afford, both are very capable boats.

I am partial to the Ranger 1850. I know that they hold their value and worth more used. if your not looking to sell in a few years then buy the boat you can afford. I had 05 1850 and now a 2012 and hope to buy another in June 2017

Love my Reata 1850. I believe it offers the best compromise between a family boat and fishing boat.
