Default LMF-400 and Navico Fuel Data Manager

I have these 2 set up with with my 2019 Yamaha Vmax over a nema2k network. I get everything from the motor, such as Hours,Temp,RPM, Tilt , oil pressue , fuel burn rate etc..

I thought my navico fuel data manager was working great but now I"m not so sure. I accidentally clicked "ReFill" while trying to get this to work on my Helix 10 (G2N). So now the gauge is reading 50 gal which it should but the problem is the fuel used reading.

Fuel used is reads 1731 gal..there is no way I put this much fuel through the system as I only got 50 hours on my motor LOL!

I got the LMF-400 used, so did a full reset before using it and the fuel data manager was brand new last year.

So I'm thinking my fuel levels I was working off of last year were just straight calculations from the outboard, because I have no values for Seasonal and lifetime is clearly out of wack!

Does anybody know how to confirm the Navico Fuel Data manager is actually working. Also, if it helps for some reason this screen is flashing..

Also, I'm a little confused shouldn't I see the Data Manager in this list or are you just supposed to pick Eng/FFLow, the manual that I downloaded didn't mention the Fuel Data Manager at all only a fuel flow sensor.

Probably not much help but i do know the Navico fuel data manager is spot on, just by going on reported fuel used and topping off the tank. I just run mine to n2k network then to any one of my graphs. I do see the manager listed when i look at my network.

Thanks ITrain,

Ya it was spot on last year. I don't have the exact numbers but it was less than .5 gal when I was refueling. I think it showing 1700 because I picked fuel level sensor instead of the Eng/Flow option.

Actually, some one this forum sent me the LMF-400 and spare Nema2k parts for the cost of shipping. So nice!!!

I have 2 Helix 10's I was really hoping to display this info on them. I love the helix's they are awesome with the integration of the Ulterra etc.

On the helix I can get Eng Temp,Rpm, Oil pressure & trim %. but no engine hours or fuel which is disappointing.

The LMF-400 is great. Now that I have used it for a year and seen this is definitely a viable solution to replacing the anolog gauges I want to find a solution to see all the info on one screen.

I'm wondering if I would have more success using the Yamaha Command Link to Nema..but I doubt it. I may just get a 7inch screen and hang it on a ram mount infront of my gauges that came on the boat LOL!

This is what I use instead of the 7" graph option ( which i also considered ) Its a Simrad IS 40. It is connected via nmea 2000 and it displays all info on customizable screens. Best part is , is that it fits in a standard tachometer hole. My default screen is a digital tach and all engine info is at the tips of your fingertips.
