New boat - Alumacraft 175 Trophy or Competitor

Tim as said in the IM you got a **** of a Deal on a Killer Package. You will love the AlumaCrafts ride in Rough Water if you encounter much on those Wisconsin Lakes. The positives for the Trophy for me were in no particular order:
- wide gunwale
- deeper cockpit - we do go to Lake of the Woods and took a beating one day last fall - my wife loves the security of being able to lean against the gunwale and not feel like she could fall out
- ride - seemed the Trophy got more comments about a better ride - who knows?
- I fish in the back, so the smaller front wasn't as big a deal (and the front on the trophy is bigger than I have)

The negatives - or things I would have liked from the Competitor:
- the after livewell - w/o having to open the jump seat - if I got a Competitor I wouldn't do jump seats
- rod storage on the raised storage boxes - this was a great comment in this thread and a thing to think about - don't really want to have to secure my rods in lockers in the Trophy - maybe I can figure something out.

Again I'm truly thankful for all you guys that weighed in. It helped me make a better decision.

Congratulations on your new purchase! Our first Alumacraft was the same Trophy 175 / Yamaha 115 combo you bought (ours was pictured below - it was a 2014 model). We had it rigged, but an opportunity came up to purchase a leftover new 2013 Trophy 185. / Merc 150 combo. So we traded up. You'll be happy with your boat.
