help with navionics/HDS

I have HDS 9 and 12. NAvionics. On the 12 I get contour lines right up to the edge of the lake, on the HDS9 I have this dead zone that doesn't seem to have anything to do with depth contour, how far off shore etc. Anyone know how to get these contour lines back to the shore on the 9? Im sure its some toggle burried in deep some where?

Most likely it's a difference in your map options settings. May take a bit of time, but you'll need to go item by item on your chart options settings and set your HDS-9 settings the same as your HDS-12 settings. I would start with "Contours Depth" for starters.

Thx, I've tried about everything....I'll just do a side by side comparison of both units, round trip a mile in my boat between the 2 units...im really perplexed...it doesn't even correspond to contours so I thought maybe it was a rock setting or something..idk...ill also try a diff lake....call Lowrance tech support....yada yada..

I would need to look at my units for the menu path but there is a couple settings it could be.

Shallow water filter
Chart detail level - put it to full.

I'll take a look at mine, but I think they are under chart options.

thanks I don't think its shallow water....in that pic, the shading cuts across contours and I turned off shallow water for that pic(shallow is shown as purple dots I think) to not confuse it. I thought I checked Chart detail to full as well, but maybe not like you would. thanks for any help...
