Tip-Up Line Markers

For those of you who fish using tip-ups do you use a linemarker to set the depth? What do you use and how do you set it? Thanks

I use a small old fashioned round red & white spring bobber. Drop the hook to bottom with a bottom finder, clip on the bobber,(both ends so it doesn't slide too easily and move on you) and slide it down so the bait is 12"-18" above bottom or weeds if there are any.

I use a button. Run the tip-up line through the holes 2-3 times to get desired amount of friction so it will slide, but not real easy.

You never lose them, never drop them, they are always on there. They wind up easy too.

Red rubber sink washers. Put a loop of line through the hole and make a girth hitch (lark's head).

Drop the bait tell the line goes slack then reel 4-5 turns , set.

Somewhere I came up with some large red bobber stops - a bit larger than a BB - fits over heavy braided tip up line, but can be adjusted up or down.

I keep a bunch in the pocket of my ice fishing suit, cant beat them for $1.29

I use a 1" long piece of electrical tape (I like yellow) rolled up and put in the loop of a slip knot.

Comes loose easily to move when needed.
Visible in poor light and does not hang up on the edge of the hole.
My favorite method and I've tried them all.
