I'm not sure yet. The cable appears to be too long and has a 180 degree turn which is probably a part of the problem. Going to replace parts as soon as we undo everything for access. I can fine tune it then.

With the cable off. Make sure you do not have a valve problem not cable problem. That is make sure the valve opens and closes by hand smoothly. The valve I installed worked great except one year. The cable slipped a little bit on the valve body clamp. So it did not open and close all the way. I just had to adjust the cable.
