Default 2021 nwt

Been a few years since I gave it a whirl in the NWT. I recall the next seasons locales being announced either at the 3rd or final stop. That being said was hoping to find out any info on this so I can stay planning my work for the upcoming year accordingly. Was all ready for the NWT Sandusky this year but had not fish it as it became the championship which is invite only.

If they announce it at an event, they would announce it on their website. It's not on their website yet.

I wouldn't count on the ND one in the spring.....we are in a bit of a battle with ND Game and Fish over their tourney fees. I hope the NWT would go somewhere else rather than pay the $28k fee it will take to get a permit here. Its ridiculous!

I see they did move the Bismarck tourney to Chamberlain, SD. I can't believe they are having 2 tournaments in SD... Terrible size restrictions plus Francis Case doesn't put out overly great fish and Oahe that time of the year can be like the dead sea.

There are always teams that solve the riddle and find good fish.

IMO those tournaments are even more interesting for the locals that believe, that all the fish are 14-19" or no one can catch fish during that time period.

At least they are more interesting to me. Comparable to an MWC tournament that was at McConaughy 2 years ago. Every local knew that a few big fish could be caught trolling, but no one figured that there would be 30+ fish over 10 lbs brought to the scale. What makes it even more impressive is that each angler could only weigh one fish over 22" per day.

I hope that ND will recognize that having a national tournament, is like free national advertising for how great the lake fishes. Then more people come spend money in the area and their economy prospers. Short sighted people have a difficult time seeing the horizon.
