Default Ranger owners Perko latch

Ranger owners

I picked up a used ranger 620 and I’m in the process of cleaning it up ( detailing, adjusting storage locker latches, making sure wires are properly run and secured, adding additional Lowrance fish finders etc)

I noticed the live well latch does not have a cam bar on the Perko latch. Is this normal for a live well latch? I was think water sloshing will pop the lid open slightly and splash water in rough seas. The previous owner had switched cam bars on other latches so those will be switched to make them work properly. I’m big into restoring as much as feasible to original w we other most of my projects.

What does every have in there live wells?
