Lund Pro-Guide 1875 quick on the water test
I keep flip flopping on what boat to purchase. I just sold my 17ft tiller because I didn't like the very(3+ ft waves) rough water ride and instability it had with a 61inch chine especially when moving around the front casting deck. I was thinking of going back to a glass windshield boat but keep thinking I should find a wider more stable tiller. The Lund 1875 pro-guide seems like it might fit with the design and price point but I would really like to try it on the water.
If anyone has a Lund Pro-Guide 1875 and is willing to take me for a quick ride or fishing please PM me. I live in Metro Twin Cities and wouldn't require much of your time. I can meet you quickly at the beginning or end of one of your fishing outings or go fishing if you want some company. Cheers, |

If you want a dry smooth riding tiller, go with either Warrior, or Yarcraft.
Both wonderful brands of boats with great smooth riding hulls. Good luck |

Agreed. If I am spending that much my preference tends to lean towards a windshield boat which is why I am looking at the 1875 as an option.

The price difference between an 1875PG and 1890 Warrior is about 4k FYI.

I think it is more around 10k. I noticed the increase in Warrior boats since last year. A nicely set up 1890 is 55k. Last year, a 2090 (boat and motor 200hp) 52-54k. Today, 62k.

As the dealer network grows so must the ability to produce boats. I'm pretty sure they are doing or did a facility expansion that must be paid for. Demand drives cost.

I hope it works out. At a price point, about 10k less then Ranger (same class boat), they were very appealing. It now appears they are more expensive.

I might be able to help you Chadly, I might get out on the water tomorrow afternoon. Only caveat is mine is a 1825 (2012) - Happy to answer any questions you might have. I have owned Warrior, Skeeter, Ranger and now Lund, they all have their pros and cons but I do like the pro guide as a great fishing platform. Send me a private message if you'd like.

There was modestly set up 2018 1890 for sale on this site a few weeks ago. $49K. The way I would have set it up was about $55K new. This is coming from a dealer I questioned.
Regardless, the original question was about a Pro Guide. Which is a great boat. If I get a tiller, it will be a Pro Guide. Warrior priced themselves out of what I am willing to spend on one. Last edited by YATYAS; 06-30-2019 at 08:05 PM. |
