Default Keel Protectors?

Thinking about getting one put on for next year. I plan to fish the ohio river more. Not sure if it would protect against a random log. I think it would just be peace of mind or when pulling up on shore. Best keel brands? DIY? or have it professionally done? thx

Default keel shield

I did the Keel Shield. Not to bad. Watched the video and just followed along. Better with 2 people.

I have put on a dozen or so Keel shields over the years..it is easy and quick, takes about an hour or so.

I have also had Hamby's that were factory installed.

Both work about the same once installed...the rocks you pull up on won't care.

Hamby's cost quite a bit more.
