The dealer that I bought my boat from recommended submerging the first set of bunks so I've been doing it ever since. I've only had trouble 3 times in the several years I've owned the boat. I'll try whats suggested. I'm up for anything that works if it's perfect every time. Thanks guys

With the fenders out about 3" you will generally still need to winch the last 6-10" ...I do this with the main motor trimmed up a little and engaged fwd gear with some throttle to make winching easier. I prefer not to use throttle only to power up to the roller when by myself or with a rookie... just to be more gentle on the boat. The times i have powered all the way up my fishing partner uses his hands to show me the distance away from the roller so I don't ram it up there to hard.

Raise the trim as high as you can taking care to keep the engine cooling water flowing.
