Default Lake of the Woods or Rainy?

I am trying to get a couple of neighbors and their kids up for a walleye fishing experience. I have my own 18' boat and I am comfortable fishing larger lakes like Mille Lacs and Leech. I have not taken the boat to the border yet and I am looking for resort/fishing advice to keep some non-avids interested over a weekend.

We are currently looking at Wilson's Point Resort and Adrian's Resort in Baudette. I have a pop-up camper and require electric. We are looking to rent an additional boat. Reviewing the forums, it looks like I should also be looking at Rainy Lake options as well for the fishing.

I am looking for resort and fishing suggestions on the Minnesota border for Mid-July...

Thanks in advance...

Default Lake of Woods w/kids? Sportsman's

Sportsman's for kids. Why? IndoorHeated Pool and Hot Tub AND Full service Restaurant. Zippels? Sure. Neither is on the Lake per se like Arneson's, but if hellish wind or rain use their 27' boats ... Comprende'?? Locomotiveman
