Default maps for Lac Seul

While a lake map for your GPS might be beneficial for navigating from point A to point B, and entering waypoints for spots you either want to fish or avoid, the larger issue you will run into (figuratively and literally) is that water levels will have more to do with rocks than anything else. When the water is high you will easily avoid rocks that will destroy you when Hydro One decides they need to work on a dam and lower the water level by 10 feet. Everything is relative.

I would not rely on a lake map other than for general navigation. If you have not traveled a specific route before, beware. There are rocks just below the surface out in the middle of a huge expanse of water almost everywhere you go. So, unless you want to call for help, make sure you know where you are going and navigate with caution--every year. I have been up there when the water is high and when it is low. The only constant is rocks.

Good luck!
