Seeing the rebates on the Gen1 models along with clearance sales on new units it's likely that selling a used unit will be a tough decision for a lot of folks. I imagine you'd have to start somewhere around half of list. The market will obviously sort this pricing out and likely end up less than half list so it may be a good idea to be one of the first to sell as once it starts they will only go down IMO.

I don't know about swapping out units but I was dead set on getting a Hbird 858 until I compared it side by side with a Lowrance Gen2 HDS8 and the difference was big on clarity. The Lowrance was clear, clear, clear!

I don't know much about the new HDS units but I'm going to do some digging.
If my wife ever asks... I was a long way from Tupelo.

I got $1295 for my HDS-10 with Insight USA and an 83/200 Transducer. It took all of 4 hours to sell it on a local fishing forum here in Oklahoma.
