Default Mercury announces New motor line?

Mercury is unveiling its new motor line up 2/12/15 at the Miami boat show. Sounds like they may have something pretty special to reveal. What do you think it will be?

Fewer Optis and more 4 strokes. Maybe a 350 Verado off the existing block and architecture are my guesses.

I'm guessing a 175 & 200 off the 3.0L 150 platform, eliminating the L4 Verado, and a 350 Verado Pro,,,,,

Me, I'd like to see a new 60/75, based on a 1.5L displacement, weighing in at no more than 275#.

Hopefully, they will continue the recent trend of reducing weight on the new models. In the 90 hp size, my 2008 optimax is fat and overweight in my opinion, enough to stern sink many 16 or 17' tin boats, and the early 4 strokes were even more obese. I know that the new 4 stroke 90 is a small improvement in the dietary dept. I don't have a historical plot of merc 90 weight versus time, but were't the 90 black motors from the 70's and 80's lighter? I could be quite wrong so i'll listen to anyone.

The oldest info I could find from Mercury is from 2001. The 90hp 4-strokes weighed 385#, the 90hp 2-strokes (pre-Optimax) weighed 305#.

Maybe a commercial showing hundreds of people pointing and laughing at the looks of the Gen 2 E-Techs. Or..............maybe a motor that looks as hideous as the Gen 2's?
