Nothing scientific, but:
I have an Alumacraft Trophy Sport 175, with a Johnson 115 2 stroke.
My buddy has a Lund Fisherman 17' with a Yamaha 115 4 stroke.
Roughly same vintages (~2000 models). Roughly same fuel tank size. Both start off full.

On our yearly week long trip to Kabetogama, where we travel pretty much together, and fish the same way - he'll typically fill once during the week. I'll fill 3 times.

It kills me that the milage is so bad....but I'll never live long enough to justify repowering.

On the other hand, he just spent a TON on fuel injectors. My carbs are still just doing their thing.

Maybe someday my oil system will fail, then I will have to make a change.....
