Mine is a 2121 so it could be a different size dashhttps://images.platforum.cloud/uploa...131feca676.jpghttps://images.platforum.cloud/uploa...9d5a7a2374.jpg

The 9" is just the Lowrance factory bracket

12" is mounted on "The Super Rock" from Blue Water Fish Products

Love those flat topped dashes, really gives you plenty of multiple graph mounting options.

Thanks! Is it safe to assume you are happy with these mounts?

Yeah
The Blue Water mount on the 12" is definitely a very solid mount...

Tow vehicle question. I bought a V198 late fall and thinking about it over the winter, I wonder when I have the boat and truck loaded up for a week long trip is my V-8 F-150 too light for the job ?

Definitely not.

That’s more than enough vehicle for the job.

Gmerz As long as you have the max towing package. Some of the half tons do have some built in hitch low ratings. That might come into play more with a 208. When first bought I always load my boat up with fishing gear. Fill up the fuel tank. Get it weighed at a recycle center public scale. Or a truck stop scale. Weigh the truck and trailer first. Pull off the scale. Drop the boat trailer off in the parking lot. Then just weigh the truck. Subtract and you will know the boat and trailer weight. Good guess is it will weigh more then you think. The fishing gear alone can add a surprising amount of weight.

Most 1/2 ton trucks fall short on the total payload rating before getting to the max tow ratings.

Just look at the truck payload sticker and work backwards.

Payload rating minus any weight added to truck after factory(say a cap-tools etc), minus people weight, minus gear weight, minus trailer tongue weight.

If in doubt, weigh the packed up truck and boat/trailer at a CAT truck scale to check your weight guesstimates.

Good Luck
