Default Mapping software for Lowrance Elite Ti2

Looking for easy fishing software to use with the above depth finders. Trying to choose between USA/Canada Gold Hotmaps and Lowrance Navionics C-Maps. Not a techie type but as a retired teacher and coach have access to some. Looking for something that'll allow me to know exactly where I am, how to get back and bottom info. Most of my fishing time's spent on Pelican LakeA near Orr, MN and Lake Talquin in Florida. That may expand. Any recommendations?

Did your unit come Pre loaded with US inland maps? If so move your chart screen to your home lake and to Talquin and see if they show up with depth and contour. All of my Lowwrance units that came with Pre Loaded US inland lakes charts are pretty much spot on and will show your GPS location and routes. I'm expecting a Elite TI2 7 today and it has Pre Loaded maps for 4000 lakes. I have a Navionics chip that came with my Elite 4, it has enhanced charting and added lakes to view. My brother uses it in his Elite 5 and it is spot on with more defined contours for the lakes he fishes.

Maybe you can compare both on your body of water:
