Ah okay, he had a partner so I'm sure they had an agreement already worked out. Nice chunk of change in the pocket. Btw,how does that work out? Does marina providing boat take it back, less taxes and cash you out or are you on your own to sell.
Kinda want to know ,seeing I'll be in that position next year, lol

Thank you guys for the support. This is Jake Runyan. Huge win. We have had an amazing year. Chase and I post plenty of info on our Facebook. Yes the taxes aren't cheap. We are partners and we treat it as such. Again thanks for the support !!

Hey bud, congratulations. If you're more comfortable pm'ing me that's cool, but i am really wondering how it plays out if you decide to sell the boat. Does marina take it back and cash you out or do you have to sell it yourself? Always wondered how that that worked.

Had to be exciting getting that big girl on the scale.

At what point when you were reeling it in did you think you might have the winner?

We are still working out details yet but Chase is very versed in selling boats. Everyone does this a little different each year I'm sure.
As far as the fish, we were on good fish and we had a double on. Chase grabbed the first one 8+ and I grabbed the second 12.77. Really actually dogged and did that big girl swim with the boat move. Got to boat and mouth opened up and we knew what we needed to do. Land her. Just pure dead weight and stayed down with constant pull. Hope that answers for you

Thank you sir, seeing that mouth come up had to be something. Once again congratulations. Not to ask too many questions but just curious as to what rig you were running and what your spread looked like, and what bait took home the prize. Hope not too many questions just wondering.

For everyone fishing both events, congratulations for your efforts. These are what keep our fisheries in the spotlight. And that in turn helps support the overall health of the lakes and the fish.
I know it's a big deal to be able to make the commitment enter either one or both.
Tight lines and congratulations to the top anglers.

Congrats Jake and Chase on your 2021 Walleye Slam win!

The Fall Walleye Brawl needs to explain how you pass two lie detector tests for the Slam, but not theirs? And, they give you no explanation?
You should have been the winners of that one too! Just my opinion…Unbelievable…

Okay, I see this topic is back on the board it was missing this morning when i started a new thread. So that's how it went down. I would think if you have 2 passed tests that maybe perhaps getting a lawyer involved might be beneficial. That's alot of money on the line.

The reason i asked this morning is i seen the Brawl boat up for sale and it wasn't Jake selling it, then I went to standings page and he wasn't listed.

I plan on fishing both next year , I couldn't imagine reeling in the winner and have it not be accepted.
