Players should walk out and refuse to play these bowl games about a hour before kick-off. They aren't being paid for the bowl games so............

Kelly left Cinc. hanging for their bowl game to go to ND, said he had to get started right away. There’s a lot of people here that are happy he’s leaving and we’re also happy he will have to face Saban every year. Roll Tide!

I have about 13 ND graduate perspectives to listen to about Kelly bolting right now. All of these graduates have their own spin on things, up to and including that Kelly knew something was coming down the pike for him, in a negative way. Not sure I believe that, but I could care less regardless.

Iíve been following ND football pretty close since 1982 when my girlfriend ( now wife of 34 years) started her collegiate years when Gerry Faust was hired from Cincinnati Moller high school to coach ND. She had to watch some of the worst coaching in the history of football. Fast forward to now, and think about all of the poor head coaching hires between Faust and Kelly.

The only coaching hire they came close to getting correct was Lou Holtz. Kelly only comes in second place because he got the program back on track with winning seasons, appearances in high profile bowl games and an occasional championship opportunity.....which they have lost every time.

My SIL played soccer for ND during Kellyís reign as the ďkingĒ of athletics. The stories he can tell about the arrogance of the football program was quite interesting and embarrassing , especially for all the others athletic programs and the kids that busted their butts in each program beyond football. Well, my SIL and his team got their opportunity to make it known they were just as important as the football program in 2014 when they won the National Championship. The boys would wear their bling to every training table dinner when the football team was there to make a point.

A few observations about Kelly.....

- He checked the box as having won the most games in ND football history.....now it is time to go.
- He is most liking chasing the elusive National Championship above anything else now.
- He was definitely chasing the Benjamins
- He has no filter....which didnít always go well at ND.....especially when you drop the F bomb on the Notre Dame Broadcasting Company ( NBC) televised games.
- He promoted arrogance and egotism within the program.
- He himself, is arrogant and egotistical which are his fatal flaws.....especially when you are on a National platform. Hey, a lot of coaches are, but some are not and most likely will never be.
- He will struggle with building a program in the Bayou within a timeframe that the fans find acceptable. My prediction is that he has 3 years at most, before they fire him.
- during those three years he will finally figure out that being in an independent /ACC conference was so much easier than being in the SEC.
- The fan base will be brutal if he doesnít change his personal approach of coach first, team second. Iíve worked in La a long time and they are family first. Me first doesnít work there...

Do I dislike Kelly ? Nah...... I just donít respect him as a person.

Rant over and earplugs back in so I donít have to listen to the wife about this anymore.....LOL.

I think I read that LSU gave him a 10 year contract. If thats true whoever authorized that contract should be fired. Kelly hasn't proven he can beat anybody in the SEC nor has he proven he can out recruit anybody in the SEC. With Oklahoma and Texas coming I don't like his chances.

PJ, I don't see him getting booted after 3 years but I don't see him lasting past 5 years either.

Let the bride know old Smoke & Mirrors would be available for ND, heck he would look good as a green leprechaun.

In Cincinnati, he’s still referred to as Lyin Brian. He had to be escorted from his last press conference in Cincinnati for his own protection since he knew that the stories he had been spinning to his players, alumni, and UC fans were now being exposed as lies. He will depart in the same gutless manner from ND, and hopefully karma will catch up to him in the future. There is no integrity with this one.

The exact situation also happened at Oklahoma. USC snuck in during the night and grabbed Lincoln Riley. Difference is Riley has proven he can win and recruit plus he may not have been onboard with the administrations move to the SEC.

He had several commits from California he will flip to USC now. Still has a slimy feel to it.

Lincoln Riley took over OK when they were already on 3rd base and then thought he had hit a triple !

3 mil or so to 10 mil. thats pretty significant. ND refuses to join a conference and puts itself at a championship disadvantage until they expand the playoff. LSU is better weather, less pearl clutchers, and a better place to recruit.

OU is great but USC IMO is a better opportunity as well. and that whole situation is topsy turvy with them joining the SEC. which i'm goign to guess Lincoln wasn't ok with.

like it sucks for the students, but unless they are morons, you likely understand this possibility exists.

Or he could be the guy who was Stoops OC the last two years before he retired. The guy who restored the offense at Oklahoma. I think you forgot the last 5 years of Stoops career. Stoops left the program in very capable hands as Rileys record shows.
