That was probably the tires it came with, not the car that handle badly in the snow.

I agree. We have an Accord and a Camry, both with Michelin Defender tires. Can't see a difference in how they handle snow.

I have a 2010 Honda Civic, been a good car engine/reliability wise. Has 225,000 kilometers on it. Whats that about...150k miles?

In the shop today actually getting new spark plugs (never changed em before), along with brakes/rotors a new brake caliper, tie rod ends. I've replaced the sway bar links as well. Rack and pinion went at 160k kilometers.

I suspect it'll be good for another 100k kilometers at least now. Maybe some shocks soon. It gets driven 500-800 kilometers a week. Gets regular oil changes when the maintenance reminder pops up which is roughly every 11,000-12,000 kilometers.

Good car, nothing special. Get's us to work. Decent in the snow with winter tires, but on the blizzard days we take the F150.

I bought both my girls Honda accords. 1 owner, local trade ins. Oldest daughter drove hers up to 150k and now my son has it to learn on. Other daughters has 197k on it and runs great. Both brands are reliable.if you are buying an accident free.1 owner local trade, or a.lease return I believe are good
Check.maintainence records. Good brands!

Reel,
Have you purchased a new or newer car after the loss of the current car?

Ain't a car made that cant go 200k plus these days. 300k is the new goal. Buy what you want. Best car I ever had was a Chrysler 200 that wouldn't stop running.

Angler,
Just for information.

225,000 km equals 139.809 miles. - i.e. close to 150,000 miles.

My wife is retired now but used to drive 400 miles/wk. She would go thru a Honda in 4-5 years. Bought a new 6 cyl. Outback and she still loves it even with 200k miles.
