Default Lund 208 Pro V GL Tiller

I received a heads up from JMinnEye about your questions regarding the Lund Pro V 208 Tiller. I have one rigged with the 200 Mercury Verado and have run it for the past 2 seasons.
This has been an awesome boat for me and while I'm not planning on setting any records for speed, the 200 Verado pushes my rig plenty fast enough to make my guests and me happy.
In this application, the superior fish-ability of the Verado trumps the high end speed offer by the Opti.
I have additional written reviews about the 208 and I'd be happy to share them with you.

I would be surprised if that hull is still around next year, it was really due for a refresh this year.

That’s too bad, i’m Not too sure how the 202 would do as a tiller if they decided to go that route.

Just speculation on my part so it may still be around. I just see the 208 tyee gl in bad need of a refresh as a 202 or 219 and I couldn't imagine them keeping the old hull around from a production standpoint.

Default 208 tiller

I have one of these boats with a 250 pro XS. and I have 20' aluminum lund tillers prior to this boat. And I can say that the 208 fiberglass is by far a better ride than the aluminum counter part. It was hard for me to admit it being from the aluminum 20' tiller family prior to this, but yes there is that much difference. And I couldn't imagine it being anything less than a 250 on it as the motor is a great match for the boat. I can still see where aluminum would have its advantages and for me it would be the type of water you fish, perhaps shallow/smaller bodies of water with low water ramps would see a advantage of a aluminum hull.

mine may be for sale soon also.

Default 208 tiller

out of the hole isn't the greatest but not bad or a problem. Top speed I have ever seen was 53ish. When I am loaded with everything but the kitchen sink top end is more like 50-51. But after some discussion with a couple prop guys they think my prop slip is a little high and I could gain more on both ends. However, I typically find myself running in the 40-45 range more than anything. So may be hard to justify the money for the prop work.
