Default Shrimp Boil

I use Zatarans Shrimp Boil. Should be able to find at Walmart or similar stores.

It comes in a liquid (small bottle) or in a box. I prefer the liquid.
Adds a great cajun spice to the boil.

Definitely add some sausages. Whatever is your favorite Andoullie, Polish, Italian will be great.

Enjoy!!

Never heard the term either but it was pretty self-evident, given the context.

Jus like Johnboat, a boil without bugs, just isn't a boil 😊. For a good boil though, (an I've tried em all) forget the Old Bay and Zat's, step up your game and boil up with "Slap Ya Mama Cajun Seafood Boil". Easy to come by in the southeast but likely hafta order online for y'all up north! Course, Slap Ya Mama has a whole line of Cajun seafood seasonings, some that might be a tad too spicy for those not acclimated 😋 While not particularly "spicy", it's quite a bit more so than Old Bay and Zat's, and is an excellent blend of Cajun oriented spices.

I boil in a 10 gal pot and increase by at least half again the recommend amount of seasoning. BOIL ON.........

I find Slap Yo Momma too salty for boils. I do like it to season food though. I find it more peppery than spicy.

Mississippi Mudbugs gets it's own pot of spicy water, I don't mix them with everything else in a low country style boil.

Take the tomato out and there is a few restaurants here that serve something close to it.
Red Lobster has a Bar Harbor Lobster bake that kinda reminds me of it and there's a few Italian restaurants who have something like it.

But ya, looks good and if I ever see it, I'll order it, thanks.
