Thanks guys, this was the only one out of 3 last summer on the Goon that we got into the boat. The other 2 were of simular size, but were on 8lb test with a small jig.We got to see them but when they got close to the boat that was the end of it.Still can't believe how long the 8lb Stren mono held up.The one we landed was on 20lb crystal Fireline.I might toy around next summer on the Goon for Muskie with little baits and heavier line.It seems like most of my good Walleye piles sooner or later hold a big Muskie.

Any pictures of big Muskie caught this summer?Going to go try for another big one on the Goon this weekend with little Mepps spinners .Last weekend I was pulling in a walleye on the Goon near the spot where we got that one last year, and a huge Muskie grabbed a hold of it for about 5 min.It was roughly the same size and of course I didn't have my spinner box.

Well the Mepps didn't produce, but I had a real big one on a White double blade "Lucky Strike"spinner bait.I got it by the boat but it wasn't ready to come in,it totally destroyed that spinner bait in a matter of seconds. It was close but it wasn't as big as the 53.I don't go out for Muskie lots but it seems when ever I do I get one on or see one.Its like every rock pile on the Goon has a Muskie living on it.I should invest in a Muskie net so I can get some pictures,I think I just got lucky hand bombing that 53 incher.
