Default Minn Kota remote problem

I have a minn Kota remote that won't turn on. I have changed the battery with a spare working remote and it did not change! The remote battery is plugged into the remote! Any ideas?

What model? I had one that didn’t work and replaced under warranty. My brother had one that stopped working, replaced under warranty, then needed to replace that one a year later as it would not work.

My current one turns off randomly.

My terrovo won't work with the remote, but works fine with the foot pedal.

It's an I-pilot with link. I'm going to run it down to scheels where I bought it and have them take a look at it. Thanks!

I took mine in to a authorized repair shop. Still the same. I won't be buying min kota again. Terrible customer service.

Is it a Bluetooth model?(2017 or newer) If so try pairing it to your motor. What did they tell you? Bob

I’ve had 2 remotes fail the same way. I just use the foot pedal or the virtual remotes on my Humminbirds....

I have an older power drive with ipilot gen2. I seem to get a year or 2 out of a remote before I start having that problem. I used to think it was the battery but in my experience the battery outlasts the remote. When mine starts going dead I can usually whack it into the palm of my hand and get it to start up until it gets to the point where nothing works.

That is Bluetooth and it needs to be paired with your TM. When new they come paired. The replacement needs to be paired if you have not already done it. Bob
