High speed tranducer freq settings.

I just bought a humminbird high speed transducer and I was curious on what frequency setting I should be running it at. Right now I have it on the HB 83/200 kilohertz because that's what it said on the box. Just wondering if there is something better I should be using?

Which unit? Chirp or non-chirp? You want to be sure to select the correct transducer type in the settings. I have a Helix 9 split between a 83\200 skimmer transducer and mega transducer. I get the best 2D performance with it set on high chirp.

I have a helix 7 G2 chip that the high speed is connected to. I will have to look into the settings further. I didn't realize there was a non chirp and chirp feature.

Not the answer to your question, but may help you out. Set your max depth to that of the deapest hole in the lake. Will help you from loosing signal on a high speed run. I tried it last week and never lost my signal.
