Default Holy moses!!!

I now live near the Gulf of Mexico and am just starting to get settled in good. So I have been doing my homework about salt water fishing. Yesterday I read a thread about fishing a certain area....... 100 MILES ONE WAY OUT FROM THE COAST!!! I have fished 3-4 miles out in Lake Michigan and just can’t fathom 100 miles out.
Oh yeah. The thread was a guy complaining about several boats there with only one engine. Most of the fishing crafts here are 2-3 outboards. Different world......

I cant imagine what a 100 mile tow-in would cost.

What's the big deal? At 50 mph that's only...

2 SOLID HOURS!

That fishing would have to be AWFULLY good!

I have seen very few days where conditions would allow that speed. I guess if you’re crazy or have steel stones maybe..... 😊

Is the thread full of people just taking their yachts out and doing some fishing too?

Seriously, I can't imagine. I guess I'm not dedicated enough.

You know I was thinking. Don’t some Lake Erie fisherman cross the lake to Canada? That’s a long haul!!!
