Default Garmin 93SV

I am considering trying one of these units if I cant find the discontinued quadra beam for my bird.

My big problem with my bird SI transducer was losing bottom at speed. I dont want to get into that again. I read one post where a guy has to change it to 200kz to keep bottom at speed. Thats ok but your cone is so narrow (20 degrees) it makes it impossible to mark fish.

Hoping a garmin owner can provide some insight.

I use the dual frequency screen. WOT @ 52kph and I don't loose bottom contact.

Cheers!

That screen shot was taken a 3.54 KH (idle speed), not WOT.

I posted this image just as an example of the duel frequency screen. It is not at W OT speed .
That screenshot was taken last year in the bay of Quinty lake Ontario , A paradise for monster walleye in the fall.

Weird? Depth in feet, but temp in Celsius, and speed in kilometers. I would have thought if you chose metric, depth would be too. Or can you change each one individually?

You can change each values individually , instead of selecting metric or imperial you select custom and from there you can change each values as you wish. I'm just more familiar with depth in feet.

What is your sensitivity set to on this picture, if you recall. I have been playing around with that lately and haven't decided what I like best.

On 2-D I leave my settings on auto, I only play around with the settings when I'm using Sideview .
On that trip in the bay of Quinty, my buddy who is a humminbird user and has been for many years , could not believe how clean the 2-D image was on the Garmin.
