Default Secret Weapons - Fishing Tackle

Howdy Folks:

Thought you would enjoy seeing some "secret weapons" that my son and I put together for our trips to Lac Seul.

We put these boxes together for our group as a joke one year, but darn if they didn't catch walleye. We added a few extras to the first design and came up with a spinner version as well. The hard part was remembering not to bend the cap when cracking a brew.

If anyone is interested, I'd be happy to send a list of the compenents used.

A word of advice. Recruit some friends to help collect caps. A person could end up in a 12 step program trying to do it on their own.

Enjoy trying to improve the design!!!

Tight Lines,

PJ

Default Weights?

Nice work! Im guessing the lite beer caps would be for shallow depths, darker beer caps for summer depth trolling. Are the lite beer caps better for clear water lakes?

Wallydave:

I'll have to test your theory out next week when I hit the water. Somehow I think the Canadian cap might attract a little more attention regardless of water clarity

My Buddy brought up one of those "bright lite" lures to cast off the end of the houseboat in the evenings... after two days, even the Gulls wouldn't come near Our bay...
