Not true. I use SI at my max speed of 28 mph. And I'm not the only one. It works fine, just need to get ducer positioned properly.

What works fine? What do you see at 28 on SI? You could use 2D if you can tune in the big ducer but not use of Si for seeing anything.

I have to trim my motor up to see anything on the left of screen. My SI worthless at speed.

They make a side imaging to side imaging splitter. Not the high speed dual beam to side imaging if that is the setup you have.

Do you know if you can use both splitters to maintain high speed and dual SI

You haven't answered those questions.

It might help if you posted two pics, one from the back of the boat showing the position of your transducer and the other from the side of the boat along the transom.
Sorry i missed this. yes it is level, looks like the motor could block it, I had identical setup on another boat and had no issues, I would think if it’s motor it would have a black screen cutout.

I don't have that answer.

I know Jeff Bilodeau is super knowledgeable about Humminbirds. If it were me I would ask him to be sure - I think he has or had that setup.

He is a member on WC. His username is: jeffbilodeau

Yes it is possible to use the 9 M SIDB Y and the 9 M SILR Y cable in the same Setup ... (both cables are simply wires which redirect where the data goes - the head unit does not even recognize that the cables are present) ...

First picture is with a LR splitter on my Crestliner with HDSI transducers

Second picture is my Solix with stock hardware on my Skeeter

Third picture is my SI Onix unit with stock hardware on my Skeeter. This picture is at speed the whole time, but the interference on the 2D is when I entered the current flow on the river.

Di always outperforms 2D at speed.

It can be done if your diligent about finding the sweet spot on your boat.

Other than the twin HDSI, (which has valid info on SI at 39 mph). I agree that the images I posted dont show any value in the one SI image. Basically, that is because I have not taken the time to find the sweet spot, because my DI is performing well. Again, Im going 43 in these images also. Maybe SI would be better at 28, when theres more transducer in the water on my Skeeter..

I can see walleyes at 10 MPH on SI, but thats about it to recognize fish.
