Default Ranger 2080 vs Skeeter WX2060

Guys, I'm shopping for new boats, I had planned on the ranger 620, however I really do not like the storage compartments in the rear of the boat. I started looking at the 2080 MS from Ranger however was told the ride would not be as good on bigger bodies of water such as the Bay of Green Bay, Winnebago or Lake of the woods as the 620 would be.
I also just recently looked at the skeeter 2060, it seems like a very planned out boat for guys who spend most of their time trolling.
Can anyone comment with experience on the ride in either of the two boats?

Those that have the 2060 love them,..

I'll get out in one this summer, It's on my list for someday,..

I haven't heard of anyone unhappy with Skeeter,..

Where are you located?

I know the Boat Center in Chippewa Falls and Ramsey does test rides,...And Anchor Marine has a ride and drive coming up down in Oshkosh I think,...

I just left anchor marine, I was hoping to make the decision before their demo days.
The WX2060 sure seems like a solid boat

If you’re not a horseshoe storage guy (I’m not!) maybe take a look at the Warrior V203 or V208.

The V203 is more of a true trolling machine, there’s acres of room behind the windshield.

The V208 is more all around but still has a ton of room behind the windshield.

Both of them are two of the best riding and driest boats you can buy, they track super straight when trolling, and there’s definitely no shortage of storage.

I was looking at both the Skeeter 2060 and the Ranger 2080. I went with the Ranger. I think the Skeeter is a fine boat. The cost was pretty equal. So I choose the Ranger for a couple reasons, resale and the fact I've had 3 previous Ranger boats.
I don't think you can loose either way. As far as the ride of the 2080 on big water I've not heard anything negative or positive.

The V203 is likely cheaper than the 208, but I have no idea how they compare in price to Skeeter.

Skeeter Boat Center is also Warrior Boat Centre. That’s a good place to start lol. I’d definitely do some checking into it on your own, you never really know until you find out for yourself.

Make sure you’re comparing apples to apples in terms of standard equipment and then it comes down to is the difference in layout, construction and quality worth any difference in price.

I would say that the resale on the 2060 is much better than the resale on the 2080. Most of the ranger buyers want the 620/621 and the used market for the 2080 is much smaller than those two. Now the 2060, those don't last very long on the used market. If you go 2060, make sure you have trim tabs on it. Really increases the ride of the boat in all conditions.
