This is paying off for someone. I ordered a Drotto today! Without the lock. I doubt there is a huge black market for them. Unlike the 6 Dr Seuss books!!! Bob

With cordless power tools these days, most anything can stolen. Padlocks don't have a chance against a cordless grinder with a cutting wheel. As the old saying goes "locks keep honest people honest".

I talked to Darren at Drotto the other day when I ordered my new Drotto about the locks they sell. It isn't anything special from Masterlock and in fact he said that they are probably not going to sell them anymore once they run out and he is going to try to come up with something better.
I mentioned to him that Bolt lock makes a spare tire lock and he said the bolt that they use for securing the Drotto to your winch stand is the same size as a wheel lug on a truck but just a coarse thread instead of a fine thread. So I may end up getting a longer bolt in a lug nut thread and then use one of those locking lug nuts on the bolt that requires a special adaptor to get them off. Of course a cut off wheel on a cordless grinder will take care of it pretty **** fast but hopefully if someone sees a person in a parking lot grinding off a bolt will say something or call the cops.

If they want it they'll get it.
Now go back to sleep
