1875 Pro V... What motor?

Buying a new 1875 Pro V... Do I go with the 150 pro xs or the 200 pro xs?? I'm not concerned with the top end speed, so is there a good reason to spend the extra 3-5 thousand dollars on the 200?

Max. it out, go with the 200.

You'll likely regret going with the 150, these bigger multi-species boats just perform so much better when they've got max. HP. They're big, they're heavy, and most fisherman add a ton of weight in batteries, motors, tackle, etc..

You won't regret the 200 when you're using your boat, or on the day you go to sell it. In my opinion, there's no doubt it's worth the added cost.

From my experience go with the 200. I just picked up my new 1875 Pro V and the dealer installed a Tempest Plus 19P prop on it. That is the same prop I had on my 2016 with the Mercury 150 Four Stroke. Everything I have read it should have at least a 21P prop on it. Any ideas?

My 2016 Pro V was a good combination with the 150 but was a little under powered.

My opinion is that a 21p tempest plus would be what you want in a 3 blade. If you had a 4 blade then you want the 19p.

See if you can demo a couple.

I'd imagine the v6 200 is a bit cheaper than the pro XS if the price is the main reason for your question. Might be a compromise?
