The reason most WC members refer to a post as being "Nuked" instead of being "Deleted" is that having your post removed is a totally devastating personal failure. Some members are so affected by this experience they never recover. Sort of like being hit by a nuclear bomb.

Often wonder why the mods just don't delete the offending post/posts instead of the entire thread.
Seems like some basic informative discussions have been nuked due to just one or two snide remarks which just "HAVE" to be made, and then the thread goes South.

When I last looked, it was fairly mellow and pretty informative, discussing where the postal service was and wasn't losing money, their prefunded pension burdens, etc. Doesn't take long though for a thread to go south after beer:30. lol

With the onset of winter and recent return of some prodigals you can feel confident that more threads will be getting shutdown soon.

They could double the price of stamps and it would still be one heck of a deal. There is never going to be a cheaper and more efficient system.

Even first class is a bargain. A small box or bubble pack of blades, spoons, or whatever from MI to the Dakotas or most any other state for $1.65 is a steal. $5+ with any other carrier.

We send so few letters anymore that it doesn’t matter.
