Default Lowrance/Humminbird Waypoint Problem

Houston . . . I think we have a problem. I thought I downloaded waypoints from my old Lowrance HDS. I loaded them on to an SD card. File names are Waypoints 2016.usr and WaypointsRoutesTrails.usr I tried downloading them onto the Hummbird PC software but it says there are no files/waypoints. Both files show they take 1mb of space and they are Unix Executable Files, so I hope there's data there? I'm trying to load into an 1159 and 859. I don not have the Lowrance unit anymore.

Please help!

Your Low waypoint file is not in the format that can be read by Humminbird. The Low file has the .usr format and HB requires HWR (Humminbird waypoints and routes).

Go to http://www.gpsvisualizer.com/gpsbabel/

You can use this web portal to upload your Low file and convert it to HB readable format. It will upload, convert, and allow you to download for free. Works great, we use it all of the time. Just select the correct input and output formats and away you go.

Thanks Jason.

PS - I had to have the 1159 that kept looping on it's own "reflashed" - works fine now.
