2006-2008 Ranger 620 Hulls
Hello Everyone -
Using spotlock, does this hull take on more water over the bow when compared to the newer hulls? If I understand the critiques correctly, this hull is: - slightly faster - slightly rougher riding - slightly more prone to taking waves over the bow I enjoy jig fishing with spotlock, so am curious if the difference with water over the bow is significantly different than newer hulls when anchored. I fish LOTW often, so bigger waves are more prevalent. Aaron Sent from my SM-N960U1 using Tapatalk

I've fished in all those years on Erie, the mid to late 08 builds are going to be the best riding hull and be less prone to waves over the bow. They deepened the keel on them starting in 08 but not ALL 08's so have to inspect

All the 2008 hulls are "the newer ones" 06 and some 07 are the less desirable models.

I've fished out of a pile of Rangers and own a 2013 620. The 06-early 08 are wave slappers not bad boats but didn't really ride worth a crap and that's why they lasted only 2 years. Look at the bows of these 2 620's. 1 is an 06 notice how the nose angles back pretty flat? The other boat is a 2010 notice how much steeper the bow is. I was looking last winter and had a few opportunities at some of the 06-08 era and ultimately decided to go late 08-15 and found a 13 I liked so pulled the trigger.
