Default Classy Cowboy

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott praised angry fans for throwing bottles and other debris onto the field after the team's 23-17 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. During his postgame news conference, Prescott initially expressed disappointment when told fans were throwing trash at players, but when it was clarified they were aiming at the officiating crew, he responded: "Credit to them."

Officials drew ire from the Dallas crowd after appearing to delay and get in the way of Prescott's attempt to spike the ball with seconds remaining in the game. The Cowboys had, controversially, called a QB draw while down a touchdown with 14 seconds left in the game and no timeouts. Prescott handed the ball to the center rather than an official and ultimately did not get the spike off in time, ending the game.

"The fans felt the same way as us," Prescott said after the game. "I guess that’s why the refs took off and got out of there so fast. I think everybody is upset with the way this thing played out.”

The referee crew maintained after the game that the umpire spotted the ball correctly and was a reasonable length of space away from where the play was taking place.

The NFL is in a better place this morning with the Cowboys getting ready to go golfing.

He needs the rules explained to him ; they require the Ref to spot the spot not the center as he did . The delay was not allowing the Ref in there to do his job . And anytime the Cryboys lose its a better season.

The Cowboys played absolutely horrible for most of the game. Although I thought the official was too slow to get to the line and position the ball, it was definitely not the reason why the Cowboys lost.

You have to make your own luck sometimes and they definitely didn't do that here.

The officials did absolutely nothing wrong on the last play. Dak is an idiot and may very well get fined for that comment.

Now on an earlier play, an official was blocking them from snapping the ball in order to allow the defense some time. A second or two after the official got out of the way, they call delay of game. I thought that was odd.

I can't blame Troy too much, I would want to call any other game besides one with Joe Buck too!
