Default 2020 Lund invoice up 10% over 2019

Looks like the Lund 2020 invoice price is up 10% on the hull and motor, with the most options up 5% but a few rise as much as 10%. WOW!

Glad I bought when I did. I bet we all get at least 10% wage increase to keep pace with rising cost.

You could worry about the raise or just understand there isn't 20 people in line waiting to get your job.

If people research 10 years ago i'm betting there was a price increase over the previous year.

Material costs are up, right? Have other brands announced their 2020 prices yet? That'll tell you if this is a general issue or not. Does seem a little like the boating industry runs on the same principles as health care providers.

Boats have been outpacing inflation for a while now. So have marine electronics. A patient man with money in hand and not too demanding on the exact set up he buys will probably be able to get some good end of season deals over the next few years. But how many of us aren't too demanding about the exact set up we get? Next year will be interesting with the election and the uncertainty it will bring to all markets, not just durable goods. The only guarantee I can make is half the country is going to be very unhappy in November. How much of that half buys fishing boats, pontoons, wake boats, cruisers....?

Just for the heck of it I checked the Tracker site....2020 Pro Guide V16 WT package is $1000 more than the 2019. Shipping is $300 more than 2019. So it is most likely expected all boat MFG will have a price increase.

Aluminum price is down, so a theory that raw material costs are driving hull prices is unfounded.

And yet these Motors, trailers, and boats continue to fined buyers.

8-10% is a normal increase, has been that way for a long time. It's my feeling it will continue until the top of the line boats reach 125K - 150K.

They will charge as much as you will spend. Keep on thinking there might be a limit reached, but it's not here yet.

Meanwhile, appreciating how my used boat is holding value.

It will sell for what you paid for it, but it probably won’t be worth it.
