Kind of depends onthe bottom you plan on anchoring in. The Richter's are a good all around anchor but for a big body of water that has a muddly bottom and potential for big wind (Red Lake) I would go witha Water Spike Chine anchor...

I use a danforth on my 21fter on Erie, digs into the mud/soft bottom really well. 4 ft chain and 150 ft of anchor line and you'll hold in anything 3-5, 4-6's

Im probably going with Danforth like I had on Erie. Since I moved to Minnesota have used a Digger anchor never really liked it. Cant go wrong with Danforth, probably why so many copy cats.

Default Anchor Shock

All the suggestions are very good, I would add another tip, get yourself an Anchor Shock. Here in WI on Winnebago the bottom is mostly mud and this shock totally took my anchoring problems away, In fact I took my chain off my anchor completely which was a relief for an old man like me. Website is www.anchorshock.com
