Default 621pro vs 621cup

Anyone have some words of wisdom/opinions on this? The money difference is significant. Is the pro worth the extra $$ ? Thanks

Depends in what you want. The CUP comes with all the rigging you need for competitive fishing, the Pro has some extra bells and whistles, same hull. Really comes down to what you need or want. I also think but not sure from my shopping is the CUP comes rigged and the PRO may be dealer rigged.

If you want a nicer dash, bigger outboard and extra battery, guages in a screen, a step with a cooler in it..... get a pro. I think thats about the only real diffeence? maybe there are some others.....but I think your catch rate would be the same Cup or Pro....just depends on whatchya want! Cup comes with HDS Live 9, 12. Ulterra 112. fishes and runs in big water beautifully.

Thanks guys, The extra battery? Does the cup not have the extra spot for the 5th battery? In my bid the dealer bought back the lowrance and put hummingbirds in. It kind of seems like the seats are different too. Also I think it equals no Zip wake capabilities? Forgive me for my lack of knowledge as I have been in a tiller for the last 20 years- Thanks again

dedicated extra battery for the Verado steering. I think the lay out is same so that battery probably ends up in one of the back corners. IF you switch out for Birds, you may want to switch out or add the I pilot "Link" board on the TM, I think the standard is I pilot...(no link)....so you can connect TM to graphs and use the "goto" capability

yes the seats are likely a bit different as well as what we said above.

never thought about Zips but Id think you can put them on?

If you intend to fish big water you want the zip wakes or at least some kind of tabs.

I just switched from a 620FS Cup to a 621FS Pro. Other than what's already stated the hulls are different. The Pro seems to be a slower hull. Not sure why at this point but there are differences in this hull that make it slower. This is without zip wakes so that doesn't factor in. I rarely run wide open like some guys so I could care less. I also think that the Pro handles the waves better and seems to crush the waves better than the Cup.

The side storage isn't as wide on the Pro series. You can fit more Plano boxes as I suspect the storage is longer but I couldn't fit the same stuff in the side storage that I could on my Cup boat. All the compartments are white gel-coated where the cup had carpet in some of the storage. I didn't mind the carpet in the Cup series as stuff didn't rattle around in those compartments.

The passenger glove box and storage cubby are 100% better on the Pro series. Ranger crapped the bed with the glove box on the Cup.

The Pro has the recessed trolling motor foot pedal. I initially didn't think much about it but I like have having the cleaner front deck.

The rubber flooring in the Pro is updated and much better. The Cup flooring would easily stain and look like crap after a couple of years. I also found the Cup flooring to be very uncomfortable if walking barefoot.

I also think the electronic mounting options are better designed with the Pro series. I plan on moving my Ride screen to the center location with the Stabil Mount conversion kit. Ill then move my graphs over to the right where the Ride screen is. I run 2 graphs so I think its better situated this way.

I love my 2020 620FS Cup, but I have to agree with this! Could have been done so much better.

So a Zipwake system can be installed on some of these boats, but not others? What determines whether it can or can't? I haven't fished truly big water nearly as much yet as I meant and mean to (partly because of where I am in the learning curve with my boat, which is my first ever, and partly because of the pandemic), but I have wondered whether I might want to install one at some point in the future for when I do more of it.
