Default 1875 ProV and 1875 Impact Comparison

Okay so I have been looking at and comparing these two boats for some time now and am really torn on which one to go with. I just got back froma dealer who had these two boats sitting side by side with the same features so I was able to compare the layouts which was nice. Both boats will be single console with Merc 3.0L 150's and rear flip seats. Boat will be used 90% of the time on Miss. River and the other times on Superior, Green Bay, and Michigan. 75% of the time is spent on the front trolling motor and am on the water 3 to 4 times a week. So take motors out of the equation I have listed the pros and cons as I see them. (my opinions)

Feel free to add what you have found with your rigs.

ProV

Pros
IPS2 Hull.
Latches on all compartments
resale
nicer console
auto bilge
livewells
thicker hull

Cons
Lack of elevated deck in cockpit
Cost
Flip seat interferes with side stor.

Impact

Pros Cons
interior room
Cost
elevated deck sides of cockpit
layout
better rod storage (opinion)

Cons
IPS Hull
Non latching handles on all comp.
non auto bilge
livewell system
finish
non auto bilge

So I am really torn. I love the layout of the Impact better for casting purposes and of course cost. The ProV is a better finished boat so is the extra cash worth the IPS2 hull?

Sorry long winded.

I don't think you can go wrong with either. We choose Pro-V over Impact, but we saw the lack of elevated floor in the cockpit as a pro for our use so its all in what you like.

The Pro V has many upgrades as standard features over the Impact.
Pro V and Tyee are the Premium models for Lund.

---Aw heck...
Not really fair for me to answer... I am biased.
I am a ProV guy.

Default Impact 2010

Move up to the impact 2010 (similar cost to smaller pro v)
& get IPS2 hull and more room !

Really spend the time and look at the two boats - I don't think you'll be able to find a single structural, interior, or exterior feature that was not "cost reduced" on the Impact. Yes, the Impact is still a nice boat that I'm sure fishes very well, but there really is no comparison in terms of overall build quality when comparing to a Pro V (IMHO).

Thanks for the comments guys. I have owned 3 ProV's but they were all pre IPS2 hulls. With the Impact my biggest concern is the overall structural integrity and fit and finish. The 5000 dollar difference in price makes it tough.

Any word if Lund will incorporate the IPS2 hulls into the smaller Impacts?

Thanks,

Go Pro V and never second guess your decision again. What's $5k when you're already spending $40k? It's only money! Ha!

Is 150 hp enough for the Pro-V? I think the max hp is 200, which puts the 150 at 75%.
