I have the canoe mans loop down to about 20 seconds, that includes tag snip. great knot. started using it in saltwater to get more walking the dog action on topwater snook. But the knot works great in all situations a loop knot makes sense.
I use a strong piece of appropriate size cardboard. Hook jig in one end of corragation and cut small slits on the on the other end. Usually double wrap and the loop knot sticks in the slit. I’ve also used foam pipe insulation pieces and toothpicks.
Old eyes and a rocking boat are not conducive to tying knots for me.
