Trying the lake for the 1st time on sat..any tips on what to use and where

Usually really shallow 3-5 feet pulling raps or using shiners.

I stay out of 3-5 FOW, if you do fish there, make sure you are rigged up to survive the 38-44 inch northern you'll hook up with.

Tie on an #5 or #7 shad rap, and drive around the basin....
